Bacharach lies in the Rhine Gorge, 48 km south of Koblenz. It is situated in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, an Unesco World Heritage area, as well as being on one of the busiest railway routes in Europe.

People tell me I should take pictures which sell, but I feel I would be selling my soul. Instead I keep on taking the pictures which I enjoy taking. I will probably never get rich from photography, or even make a decent living from it, but at least I will have left authentic images which might just be of of interest to someone after I have gone!
