Steam Locomotive approaching, Germany, 1985. by 


The “P8” is arguably one of the most famous classes of German steam locomotives ever built.It is estimated that 3948 were constructed all told. The first P8 entered service in 1906 and the last representative of the class in service with the Bundesbahn was not withdrawn until 1975.

Captured on Velvia film using an Olympus OM1 Camera.

People tell me I should take pictures which sell, but I feel I would be selling my soul. Instead I keep on taking the pictures which I enjoy taking. I will probably never get rich from photography, or even make a decent living from it, but at least I will have left authentic images which might just be of of interest to someone after I have gone!
