The bombing of Plaza de Mayo is an event in Argentine history. Starting at 12:40 PM, a total of 9.5 tonnes of ordnance were dropped, killing 364 (mostly civilians) and injuring more than 800. Fire ceased at 5:20 PM. Three planes were downed by hastily-mounted anti-air guns.

No, la pobre no había leído la info….es que cuando la hice y subí, no tenía en mente lo del bombardeo, sino lo que está pasando hoy día, y luego caí en la cuenta del aniversario macabro, y lo agregué!!!

Daniella. This is fantastic on several levels. Your artistry is exquisite and people need to be reminded of the cruelty of the tragic event you described. I never knew of the bombing of the Plaza in Argentine history. I have received several posts about the cruelty of several events, one about John and the tragic killing of her family in Iraq and the heartwarming story of Daniel who has cerebral palsy and wants to protect endangered species, a featured photograph. I also posted a series to raise awareness about the crisis of the homeless. I would like to post these photos in our forum. I hope you add this to our group so I can add it to the other events that are so tragic, but need to be exposed. This is outstanding!!

We have such a tragic history (as most of the countries in the world do) but what saddens me most is that human beings seem not to learn from mistakes…
