Love the tones – very graphic – almost feels like a drawing!

  • Dan Biggins replied

Thanks Mark! The light was very flat that day, so decided to HDR the shot instead – I’m pleased with how it came out and glad you like it.

This is such an ominous picture.
It’s almost like the building is looking down on you, instead of the other way around… you looking up at it.

Tremendous perspective and angle. HDR or pseudo HDR works very well for B&W photography, in fact I think that HDR is meant for B&W. Wasn’t it Ansel Adams who used a similar technique in his (analog) photos and can be considered the spiritual father of this technique?
    Great shot!

  • Dan Biggins replied

Thanks Joel…I think Adams’ technique was called the Zone System? Glad you like the shot, Greenwich is full of wonderful architecture such as this.

  • Joel Tjintjelaar
