As Tropical Storm Isaac morphs into a hurricane I reminisced today about my first hurricane of any size in 2004 when Ivan paid a visit to the Gulf Coast area. I remember my shock when I saw this boat on its side in the wake of the storm back in September 2004 and it still sits there on its side today near the Santa Rosa and Escambia County line along Highway 90.

I am a former editor/sports editor of a twice weekly newspaper in Milton, Fla. I taught myself how to use a camera, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I remember seeing that boat many times traveling that road. Yep it is still a reminder!

  • Too bad they are not moving the boat because of the way some people are afraid it will cause more harm if moved that good it would do.
