How I created the Paper that the face is bursting through

firstly select your required size of paper (white) I usually purchase drawing pads and remove the sheets of paper as this is cheaper than buying sheets of paper individually.

Then either drink loads of tea and save the tea bags or if you don’t drink tea find someone who does and ask them to save the tea bags for you, you could just buy tea for this purpose but that would push the cost up.

Once tea has been drunk and bags have been saved find yourself a nice flat surface I recommend somewhere outside as this bit gets messy.

remove a sheet of your chosen paper size and break open some tea bags making sure they are wet and you squeeze them first and place the contents on the paper ( I use 3 for paper size A3 ).

for the next bit to avoid getting a tea bag tan I would advise using some disposable surgical style gloves however this choice is yours.
Rub the tea into the paper , the more you rub the tea in the more stained it will become you will be able to see the change as you do it so simply stop when you reach your desired effect.

Your paper should be dry in just a few minutes to half an hour depending on how nice the weather is or how warm your house is.
For additional effect you can squeeze some full tea bags over the paper at this point and leave to dry this will add considerable drying time.

once dry you can personalise it in many ways I use lightly sprayed black and blood red spray paints to enhance the effects for different shoots also burning the edges creates a cool look too , you can do this by lighting the paper with a match or lighter and then immediately blowing it out, at this point you should have a burning ember keep this alight by gently blowing on it until you have your desired look.
Please make sure you take all safety precautions if you choose to burn the edges of your paper and make sure you are in a well ventilated area away from other flammable materials better yet outside also away from other flammable materials.

Good Luck and if you choose to follow my procedure to create your own parchment style paper let me know how it turns out or if you make an improvement I would love to hear about it.
