I’m absolutely thrilled and delighted to say that I have qualified for the next round of the international Flash Fiction Challenge 2010 writing competition.
Having placed a credible 6th place (out of 22) in my group for the 1st challenge I really needed to pull out the stops in the next challenge to ensure I qualified for the next round. Much to my amazement I placed 1st place in the challenge and have now qualified 2nd overall in my group.
The competition has now reduced down to a 100 writers (from an original 400 plus) and will go down to a final 25 after this weekend’s challenge.
The challenge has been running since August and involes you writing a 1000 word story in 48 hours from an assigned genre, location and object.
So here’s to another weekend of intense writing and fingers crossed I can make it into the final.
