DBA Lehane

London, UNITED KINGDOM

I’m a writer from the supposed mean streets of deepest, darkest south London, UK. I’ve been lucky enough that both my writing and photography has been published extensively online and in print.

I have been here on Red Bubble (on and off) since late 2007. (You may remember me as DBA Lehane or Banal Heed.) During my time here I have won the odd competition and challenge, as well as being responsible for setting up the groups Twisted Tales and Pulp Noir. One of y Red Bubble short stories, ‘The Things a Girl Has To Do’, was turned into a short screenplay by an Australian film company.

My short writing influences include: Irvine Welsh, Charles Bukowski, Roald Dahl, Jeffrey Deaver, Raymond Carver, Derek Raymond, Philip K Dick, Peter Robinson, John Connolly and Christopher Fowler.
