By 1943 the Stirling was relegated to mine laying as it couldn’t fly as high as the newer bombers and escape the Luftwaffe fighters. On D Day, 6 June’44, 199 Sqdn changed to a RCM (Radio Counter Measure) sqdn the same as 101 Sqdn Lancs, but 199 jammed German Radar, using Mandrel and Shiver jamming equipment. I like the addition of things like Badges, etc to this type of painting. In this case I think the Sqdn Badge should have the King’s (Edward) Crown, pre 1952, on the top. Cheers Neil “Woodie”

Apologies, I should of said King’s (Tudor) Crown pre 1952 not Edward.
Thanks Woodie!
