My name is Sarah Cooper. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and I am an Artist.
Within the past five years I’ve taken up creating art again, for me it is a spiritual experience… Therapy, Communication with the Divine and a chance to express what can not always be expressed in words.
Often I will refer to myself as having A.D.A.D. (Attention Deficit Art Disorder) because I’m always up to something Art-sy.
Been creative my whole life, couldn’t put a ‘date’ on when I started making ‘Art’. If my Mom is right it would have been on the wall about the same time she gave me my first solid foods.
Some call me a ‘Mixed Media’ Artist because if there is some way to craft/create with it, I will. I use whatever materials and mediums are at hand: watercolor, acrylic, glazes, charcoal, chalks, pastels, etc… On whatever substrates I can find: canvas, papers, mixed media backgrounds, old wood, etc… and most of the walls in our house are now covered in murals.
Like a Shark needs to keep moving or die, I – need – to make Art.
Within the past 5 years I’ve been on several online blog-based Design Teams, published in online e-zines and most recently had 2 pieces of art ‘paper’ published in ‘Quotes Illustrated’ and ‘Inspirational Quotes Illustrated’ by Lesley Riley.
