A COUNTRY LANDSCAPE IN FALL

Inspired by the beautiful Fall COUNTRY LANDSCAPE graphic by Tulay Cakir.

A COUNTRY LANDSCAPE IN FALL

Beautiful blue flowing water
reflects the sun with a glow.
Dark purple shadows are
mixed in the sparkling flow.

Just yesterday greens turned to yellows,
tomorrow to frost off to brown.
Orange to highlight the music
of Autumn’s most regal gown.

A COUNTRY LANDSCAPE IN FALL by

A two-stanza ode to a Fall landscape.

Set to a snapping, fast waltz time, 6/4 music notation.
Some musical rests, or beats of silence at ends of some lines.
Poetry read in English normally stops for a breath or a beat only at the ends of punctuated (.,:;!?) lines. This one is “normal” for reading purposes.

  • Thanks, Linda! I love waltz music. . . it just flows, you know? My brains runs on it.
The art really wrote the poem, actually.

Wow! This painting has great depth. I feel like I have to walk through the grass to get to the river. AWESOME
