THE 60-SOCKS
I’ll be 60 tomorrow, and I did what every artist must do—something colorful, right?

Heck, I’ll be 60 tomorrow, I guess I can indulge a little!
Lol, actually, I went out and bought myself some very special knee socks for the occasion. They have horizontal stripes on them in different color schemes, and I got a 4th pair which are “long-handled foot gloves” I guess you’d say. Each toe has a different colored “finger” to go in. They work great with my sparkly flip-flops!
The other day when my sis in law came up to visit (we’ve been ‘sisters’ since we were 13,) I shoved my striped sox into shoes, rolled up my already high-water brown jeans, and we went and got a pizza. That with my leather jacket for the cold should have drawn some kind of comment, or a look or something. Maybe everybody’s suddenly gotten polite or something, but I doubt it. Either they didn’t notice anything odd, or they figured I was so crazy that I’d do something terrible if the acknowledged my sox in any way.
LMAO all the way home! I gave Sissie a plaid pair in day-glo colors. She loved them. Kept giggling over them. On the other hand, I’m always cool and collected about these things. At least, when it counts.
Ah, I’m going to go play some cards on the computer and see if I can calm my brain down some.

In 1974 or so when I was 23 or so I had a pair of rainbow colored knee socks with toe-fingers…...they were so COOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Are they back????? Hot diggety!!

I had a wonderful birthday, and so far, have had lovely days.
Sorry you don’t like your B’days. . . men are sooooo vain! (Getting even with your ‘easily amused’ comment!). My mom began to say she was “Plenty-nine” when she got into her highter 60s and continued to do so for almost 30 more years. LoL—we hang around on ya!!

I’ll have to drape them over the dresser, and maybe don and shoot the long-handled foot gloves. Friends have been telling me that when they went into the 60’s and 70’s, these sox were in fashion. I was studying those 2 decades, and they sort of whooshed on past me.
