HAPPINESS IS A WARM KITTEN: Baby Jacki by

181 Views as of 23 June 2011

Of all the Cousins from outside, little Jacki is the one who decided to move indoors with us. She’s so sweet she purrs at the thought of being petted!

A gorgeous kitten, and not “just another cat”.
There is no such thing as “just another cat”.

Jacki is named for a family member. After delivering twins, our human Jacki had a stroke and had to relearn to do everything! Family members stepped in to take care of Jacki and the twins, and Jacki’s husband.

Jacki the kitty’s coat pattern is often called “Tuxedo”, obviously. Her mother is a “Talico”, patches of Tabby and the rest Calico, but turned so that the colors are in lines, called a Tortoise Shell.

The eyes run in the family, about 3 of these headlamps to 1 kitten with ‘normal’ eyes. Jacki’s headlamps are clover-green, and she always looks like the proverbial deer caught in the headlights.

RESCUE: Jacki is now neutered, as are her brothers and sisters and cousins. They all ended up getting to stay with us, because the no kill shelter was full. That’s fine!!! Good barn cats are at a premium out here in farm country. Especially the kind that don’t reproduce. FYI, barn cats MUST be fed!

She is a beautiful cat. She has blue eyes. She will be a very nice pet.

  • Those are her baby-colored eyes. She has the deepest green eyes now, just like her calico mamma!

And she is a sweet pet!! She is now mature: has to go to the vet ASAP!

oh! Dayonda she is darling!! how wonderful that she chose you also!

  • Thanks, Shan’!
I brought her inside (to the food bowl) twice, and the second time, she finished, and instead of asking to go back out, she curled up on a chair and took a nap, LoL! Then after she’d been in a few days, I introduced her to my husband- he’s bed-bound and she hadn’t come in to the bedroom as yet. Now, she’s his cat! Isn’t that always the way?

There really is no such thing as just another cat — just ask the ones who’ve adopted me! What a sweetie……….

  • I understand that perfectly. And, yes, humans only think they’re doing the adopting!! All my best little pals have just shown up and waited for me to take them in.
BTW, this is a young photo of the kitten that went in with HIDEE!
