To my Sweetheart

Friend of my youth, honoring truth,
serving in war as part of the Corps.
Gentle by heart, such a poor start,
genius of space, lover of Art.
None other but this fine man
should ever have had my hand.

® 13 Feb 2010 Dayonda Stribling,
Arriving at Kelly’s mom’s little old farm house for our wedding, she took this pic on her little old Instamatic 110.
It’s 16 years old, now…. change the hair color…we’re gray!
But the love has only grown deeper.

Do you temember this…It’s you husband ha, ha, ha….

  • I missed it, somehow. At my church college we didn’t get “in” on everything Hippie. ROFL — He says, is this a drawing of a monkey or something? And he showed me with the top of the head being the cheekbones, the nose with but nostrils in the forehead of your drawing, and the mouth at the top of the moustash. He also added that he’s a “Mountain Man”, after all.
Everything he changes his head or his facial hair he looks totally different. Gives me some variety, you know? LOLOLOLOL!

    Great portrait and wonderful

  • thank you, saseoche. This was take when Kelly was still walking. He was 6/4", but now, in the wheel chair, it’s 4’6" tall. (I didn’t make up that line, a long-ago boyfriend said that about himself. Holds true for Kelly, too.)

You two make a perfect couple Dayonda. I do hope Kelly can somehow get out of the wheelchair. Kelly looks a little like one of my brothers. I say one, because I have two brothers and they look nothing like each other. Blessings Dayonda. xxxx

  • Yes, if the Lord sees that it would be better for Kelly and all of us, that would be wonderful. If He sees the chair as a lesson and a blessing for us, then it’s the chair.
