RIBBONS OF COLOR, SWIRLS OF WHITE Author: Sally Omar
Ribbons of Color Swirls of White She wore them in her hair Only at night Once the evening Would appear Ribbons of Color, Swirls of White Would pull back her hair She looked in the mirror And closed her eyes Held her breathe And let out a sigh She could not wait To see his face She was dressed In pure white lace He always loved The ribbons in her hair When they first met She had them there Their love never changed Although the years past They remained the same That is why their love did last She loved to wear Ribbons of Color, Swirls of White Reminding them That their love was always right
