MY HAIR LOOKS AWFUL FROM THIS SIDE. . . 01by Dayonda
GEEZE— I MUST HAVE STUCK MY HEAD UNDER MY WING REALLY FUNNY LAST NIGHT. MAYBE FROM ANOTHER ANGLE. . . Immature male Black-headed Grosbeak. This year’s hatchling. (Adult females and all immature birds have yellow-orange bellies.)
they’re great to have around. LOL, this one’s a youngster, just getting his adult feathers— that’s why he looks like he’s got a mohawk! He stood in front of the window and checked himself out from all different angles. The rest are on my Beta page— http://dayonda.redbubble.com/
Beautiful capture of this Grosbeak!! It’s great to have these images as well as mature male and female birds to assist others for identification!! Well done!!
Thanks, Blair! Two couple each raised two clutches last summer in our back yard. This year the stray cats have multiplied too much for birds or squirrels. I’ve got to get the number for the no-kill shelter! It’s just awful without the birds and squirrels….

you very welcome sis ..:)
A Punk Birdy! Another great shot!!!!!
Wouldn’t that be “Nest Head?”
Funky-punky Nest-Head. There should have been a song written. . .
some consider that stylish ;). Wow that bird has a silver beak.
Oh, yes, they spend a fortune on goop to make it stick up. He has a silver beak in that light, but it’s really shiny black.
