Yes, it is powerful stuff. I made it for one of my step-daughters. Can’t give it to her, though. It could get her hurt. I hate that!

I read a lot on the subject, thinking if I just divorced the guy, I’d grab another one just like him. I almost did, but miracles happen if you’re ready for them, and I “saw” a kind loving man for the first time. I never even noticed them before.

nice work! Did you know that in america when a childs parents are divorced that a female child is put at 3-4 times the risk of being abused…simply because of the male friends the mom and father have and less supervision. Divorce basically guarantees that a female child will be abused by the mothers male friends or the fathers male friends…isnt that sick! Saw it posted in a newspaper article…it was posted in sex offendor’s county office in portland.
Strangely there is no increase for male children.

Ideally, the father/husband is the protector and defender of the family. When he’s the enemy of the family or the predator, then nobody’s afraid to move right in on the mother and daughter.
I wonder if this is true with daughters of single, non-married, non-divorced mothers? And do the daughters of abused mothers continue the pattern?

I think there is a good chance that daughters of abused mothers continue the pattern because they teach their kids to be afraid consciously or subconsciously. But i have seen no research to support it. Also the report i read was strictly about divorced couples, so I do not know what happens to mothers who never got married in the first place. but tis something to think about.

I’ve thought about that, because I know quite a few, have known such single moms who have single mom kids, etc. The research says that kids’ attitudes are set by age 3 on what’s “normal” and what’s not. Whenever moms’ less than upright and moral boyfriends (and so-called uncles) who, when they get a chance, go right after the daughters and sons. The problem there is that really moral guys wouldn’t be visiting mom for sex. So there’s a Catch 22 right there.
This is bound to get some comment from some guy or gal who thinks he or she is totally moral but just doesn’t think morality has anything to do with them and their sexual activities. I really have only one reply to that: God hasn’t changed His mind. Kids with no moral, honest and good dads have to have moms that work overtime to compensate, and while it can be done and done well, it’s exhausting.

I am impressed by the message. It its a direct no nonsence, no excuses, message. The good thing is that someone always knows someone who is or might be, or may in the future be the one who may be abused…so it’s a good message to come across and use as a referance. Thank you, Maria. I did it up for my step-daughter, one of them. Then I realized there were more women that needed to see it. And even more men!!! Some of them just don’t realize it’s abuse.
