WHAT??

Wooly’s eyes pop when something he doesn’t notice before suddenly moves around him. After the 3 days he accidentally spent outdoors, he’s been a very easily-spooked little guy.
We don’t pick him up and reward the reaction, instead we touch the challenging object. Then he waltzes up and slaps it. ” Once slapped, always conquored,” is how Wooly sees it. He’s very brave because he faces what scares him.

Rescued: Probably once a day; from stuff he get into, LOL. Seriously, he’s a rescue from a yard sale, then he got lost outdoors till we rented a live trap from the SPCA and caught him in it. Then we had to rescue him from the trap- he was freaked out, and he’d been bumping his face into the bars on the top and sides so much his little fuzzy face was swollen. He galloped through the house 3 times before he realized he was home, indoors, with his humans and his cat partners. So the Wool’s had it tough for an emotional little guy.

Poor baby! OMG! I know how they are after an unexpected or unplanned outing like that Dayonda. It’s happened around here before and they can be so easily spooked for a few days.
I hope he will soon settle down and get comfy in his surroundings again. Wooly reminds me of our Scruffy. Great captuer! xo

  • Dayonda replied

These gray kids are exceptional, aren’t they? Wooly’s spookiness has lasted 3 years- not days. He’s always concerned that predators will find the “nest”- he eats cat hair clumps if we don’t get them picked up right away. He has a little girlfriend who’s quite a bit bigger than he is, but he runs to protect her, anyway. Then he bites her in the throat to show how much he loves her. Well- snips and snails and puppy-dog tails, I guess. Thanks- D

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW poor little guy!! But it sounds like he’s doing great now? And he’s QUITE handsome!!!

  • Dayonda replied

Yes, Pix, he’s fine. He just has to give anything new the Slap Test.
And yes, he’s very handsome. He has a human girlfriend and a cat girlfriend, and mom and dad, or course. And a couple other cats- he hero-worships the bigger, older tomcat, Sebastian. They’re very much individuals.

My Kitty II is just like him, will lay next to me but I cannot pick her up and have her like it. We just got her back after a week with a dog in the house. So we will give her her space and let her rewarm to us. Cats are strange animals for sure.

  • Dayonda replied

They surely are. I think it was Robt Heinlein who wrote, “Women and cats will do what they want and dogs and men have make up their minds to it.” LOL, very true! A dog, of all things—how could you? LOL

Thanaks Rosalie. The light wasn’t right to show up his eyes so I did a little Selective Coloring, and painted them in the way they were supposed to be.
