How in the world did you get in this spot to take this photograph? I’d love to read a “behind the scenes” explanation of how you got the shot! Whatever the case, you’ve captured some amazing colors, textures, and lines, almost like lava spewing from a volcano. So beautiful!

Thanks all, Bonnie, this was shot looking straight up or nearly so with a my 24- 135 lens. Then 3 frames blended in HDR. All I had to be worried aobut was whether someone would step on me!

this is simply a stunning image. The color, texture, lighting, and composition are exceptional. There is sense of depth and perspective even though it is a narrow space, and looking upward. The color gradations from Orange to red to black is beautifully captured.
