created this over 3 days, using blotches of colours, slowly and painfully pushing the colours around
Arkhenaten was husband to Nefetiti.
He was the son of Amenhotep III and Queen Tiy,
and was the tenth King in the 18th Dynasty.
It is said that Arkenhaten suffered from a disease called ‘Marfan Syndrome’, which is a genetic defect, affecting the bodies connecting tissues. The symptoms for this disease are, short torso, long head, neck, arms, hand and feet, pronounced collarbones, pot belly, big heavy thighs, and poor muscle tone. (And very difficult to paint!)
He was always depicted with an odd shaped face and body.
