Yellow Snowflake – Nymphoides geminata (syn. N. peltata) Menyanthaceae – Floating Heart – Lily-Like Plant – Looks like a miniature lily. This floating leaf plant has a bright yellow, star-shaped (buttercup-like) flower. Green to reddish-brown, heart-shaped (2" to 3") leaves float like lily pads. Grows in 4" – 24" of water. Hardy Zones 6-10.
Alternative common names for this plant are the fringed water lily, water fringe, yellow water snowflake and the yellow floating heart.

My name is Dawne Dunton, I’ll be honest and say I can’t really call myself an artist or a professional photographer. I’ve never taken a class, I’m purely an amateur that wants to be more. I take photos of just about everything that catches my eye, and I mean everything. Some of my photos may be odd to you, but I like the odd. I hope you enjoy what I see!!
