A Place to Park by Dawn di Donato

For my birthday, 03/27, my husband took me to the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden in Nacogdoches, Texas. I took my old rusty bike so I could take some photos of it with the azaleas & I literally had a hard time finding a place to park it lol! The garden is in full bloom with the azaleas right now. Its a garden of Stephen F. Austin University & is beautiful this time of year & in the Fall as well. Its an 8 acre public garden with collections of plants that thrive in the acidic, sandy loam soil of the LaNana Creek floodplain & also has gorgeous nature trails for the public to either walk or bicyle on.

I enjoy capturing what grabs my heart. Wether it be a child running & playing, or an old barn or cabin worn by time. I try to find tranquility in everything.
I hope you enjoyed your visit & come again soon:)

I really like the tones in this. It has a mixture of classic old and fresh…super combo! I like it on black best. It really makes the photo stand out. Fantastic work..another fav :) Peechez (by the way, I would crazy in a garden that size…would have been there for hours…lol)

  • Thank you so much Peechez! This garden is gorgeous when the azaleas bloom & then in the fall all the maples are all the flaming colors of Autumn! Truly beautiful! I hope to get better photos of fall this year:)
