Forgotton Song

A baying wolf, a sad and haunting sound you dont hear anymore, to me it seems as though they knew long ago that their near extinction would come to pass, hence their howling started. A rare sound indeed.

Wolves are an endangered species and have been hunted for centuries and nearly became extinct, hopefully through careful conservation these beautiful beasts will be around forever and everyone can hear their special song.

In April there will be a 5 part series on american pbs. the program is called “The American Experience” and it will deal with the whole history including their point of view, all the way up through the 20th century to now. You can watch each part after it airs by going to www.pbs.org .. I am very eager to see how they do this. The producers of the series used tons of never before seen raw footage..ie 1973 at Pine Ridge….This should be very interesting…I’ll keep you posted!
