many thanks barry, you are the 2nd person to say it looks like a tapestry, its the big toothed paper which the original pastel was done on, you need a very rough surface for the pastels to cling onto hehe dawnx

Wow that is gorgeous. The yellow tower looks great against the purple sky. Using complimentary colours is a nice combination, and I love how you chose to make use of it in a subject and setting also common to see in reality when the tower is lit.
