first time i saw these was when the zoo opened this new exhibit, wow this world has so many amazing things, delighted that you like this,dawnxx

aww many thanks pat, for over 40 years i have been so crappy at taking photos they family would not let me touch a camara, then my daughter gave me her old digi just before the summer and i get a thrill with all new pictures, i am getting a lot deleted hehe but its like someone else has taken these, lol dawnx

many thanks trudi, when you go in there they are so busy getting on with their little short lives that they just go from flower to flower mainly, but on occasions they do land on you and a big mirror is in there by the exit to check lol my kids hate it in there too ,dawnxx

many thanks sue, yes they are getting these from all over the world and breeding is a sucess there, i never knew these existed before, however most locals are asking the zoo to provide some gb ones as our polulation of our own butterflies is at a dangerous low level, our council is urging us to plant things in our garden to help this situation and the zoo has been asked to help, and then they can let our own free to boost the numbers and it should not be as expensive as this exhibet due to needing less heat, do go its wonderful in there and hehee very warm,dawnxx

hi krys, it was the same here first thng but it is now dark and very cold, so glad that you like this, what a shame when you came up here they are very hard to catch and its a pain taking the moisture off the lens, as you know i ruined one digi in there, dawnxx
