Dawn, Mick the horticulturist reckons it’s an orchid and I think it’s a violet cos the leaf looks like one

yes its stunning and behind a rose bush, it make a change to have flowers, our old lab used to eat any flower he could find, even if we took him for walks lol dawn

thanks again dawn, i have never seen them before and very surprised, we have not had many flowers over the years we had our black lab, he ate every single flower he could find, even if we took him out, he was amenace at times lol dawn

I have never seen this flower before, its stunning and so delicate, apparently you can keep the seed heads and grow more and I shall the butterflies love it dawn
