I like experimenting with ‘negative space’ and abstract shapes: this is one result.
I started with the rounded rectangles and then added the diagonal stripes.

I drew the design in a sketch book and used it as reference when I created the ‘vector’ version in Illustrator.

I decided to let the t-shirt colour be part of the design by letting it’s colour show through the cut away shapes.
