Untitled 2

I’m a bit reluctant to describe this image as I don’t want to spoil anyone’s imagination wanderings. It is a photo that has been manipulated in image editing software.

On face value I just love this… so ambiguous… is it a passage in time… a walkway – a tribute to great architecture… yjust beautifully constructed!

    Thanks Melody.
I majored in Animation when I studied multimedia so that could be an influence. I do have ideas for photos that involve multiple moments as well.

If you want to try something fun with your camera:
    1. set the size to 640×480 (or the smallest size if its greater than that).
    2. take many pictures as you move slowly through a space such as a laneway or street. E.g. picture, step forward, picture, step forward. About 120-240 pictures. It will look strange to onlookers…
    3. upload images to computer.
    4. import them to a video program. Some programs have a setting in the preferences/options under import or images that let’s you specify how long in time each image will be (duration). Set it to the lowest or around .1 or a second before you import them.
    5. drag the images to the timeline and put the playback head at the start and press play. You will see a stop frame animation of your pictures.

If you have a PC running Windows XP, it comes with Movie Maker which is very basic but can achieve the above.
If you have a Mac running OSX, it comes with iMovie which is similar to Movie Maker but better.

The next step up would be something like Adobe Premier Elements (PC) which is a cut down and cheaper version of Premier Pro.

You could also search the Web for “video editing software freeware” and see what’s around.
