The Djerriwarrh creek serves as the boundary between Melton and Bacchus Marsh. This Shack sits on a small flat on the Melton side of the creek. This area has been popular with the makers of television shows and this shack has appeared in Five Mile Creek, Blue Heelers and the Flying Doctors. A little further along the creek is the site of of a complete settlement built and burned for an episode of Five Mile Creek, nothing remains. When I first came accross this shack I was amazed at it’s wonderful condition for such an old shack. Now I know why, as do you.

Great image Dave, lighting gives a touch of dramma to the scene. Well shot and great read.

  • I found this place a while back, but has taken along time to get permission and the right conditions to shoot it. In the mean time I was doing some research. Thanks mate.
