These amazing trees were planted in the Otways in 1938. When you walk in under these trees its like you’ve come accross another world. The leaves that have fallen are a rich red and walking on them is soft, quiet and spongy. As you look up you realise why its so dark with their massive straight trunks supporting the light blocking canopy.
This is the most unique spot I have come accross. I hope you can gather some sense of what its like under these still young giants.
