Ebb & Flow
Coffs Harbour at sunset.
The next wave after this sent me running back up the rocks. I had watched the waves for qite a while and thought I was well safe. Ha!

It looks cold and rough! Good use of slow shutter speed with a nice flow on the sea. Pleased to hear that it also gave you some exercise! lol ;-))
David Hibberd replied
Thank you David. It does look that way but in reallity it was warm and rough.

Excellent Davo, colour, mood and comp. are fantastic… haha did you take a change of underwear?
David Hibberd replied
No change needed fortunately. But I did get a bit of a heart start.
Thanks Steve
Barry Feldman
Really like the composition layers of the beach pebbles, water, rock and the subtle colour of the setting sky. Beautifully time exposed as well. Top shot David.

Davo, what an awesome shot! There is so much to really just take in..The sensational soft color of the sky and sea, the pebbles bright like some colorful mosaic paving, and that wet, shiny, dark monolithic edge at the upper right corner, with those subtle fiery highlights. Mate- loving this!! ( I would have loved to see you running back as they wave hurried you on..) Actually, you have shown that wave just there lurching beyond the opening of the rocks.
David Hibberd replied
Yes your right! As soon as I pulled this one up on my screen I saw it and had a quiet little chuckle. I must have looked like a right wanker. Oh well, thank you for that beautiful comment.

Thomas Simunsen
wow, I love the mist like water coming in from the distance its brilliant. You feel the cold here almost from a magical time of dragons and wizards. The multi coloured gravel helps break up the drap cold look.
David Hibberd replied
Thank you Thomas. It does have a real cold feel to it for sure, but it was quite warm. Cheers!

Gosh, I truly want to investigate further. I would be there running back and forth with those waves, I think. I imagine searching through those pepples for bubbling signs of life of little critters below. Is there an undertow? Or you just didn’t want to get your camera gear wet? :D
David Hibberd replied
I don’t know about the under tow. I was mostly concerned about my gear. I have long wireing on my remote and it wound up under the water but fortunately survived. Many thanks.

Beautiful capture Davo, it almost has a surreal mystical feel about it – glad you didn’t get washed out to sea lol :))))
David Hibberd replied

Trish O'Brien
Wow Davo – which beach was this? Gorgeous colours, and the long exposure is perfect.
David Hibberd replied
Thanks Trish. I cant tell you name as my memory is crap. But it was half way over the bluff between the two sand beaches and down on the rocky area. There were a few people fishing down there every time I walked the bluff. I hope that helps.

David Hibberd replied
Thanks Hans, fortunately I am still quick enough on my feet, but it would still have been worth it even if I had got soaked.
