I’ve gotten mixed comments about this one. I believe that a part of being an artist is pushing boundaries, and I know this is a controversial picture, but I feel like its a necessary picture. The media tells lies, artists show the truth. I feel as though the truth is important, not only because lies are morally wrong, but because improvements can’t be made if we can’t accept that there are problems.

My brother-in-law weighed 500 lbs at the time of his death…..and he was a wonderful, loving, caring, person that never failed to make one laugh or be happy for what they had. This photo is a good push of the envelope…Di
