moonlight
and we
stood around
in the dewy grass,
our feet bathed
in shadows.
Our voices
mingled with
the breath
of the branches,
and our laughter
summoned fireflies.
We told
stories to
the rapt night
and lulled it
into
a sleepy
stupor,
then
kissed the stars
goodnight.
