This is one of the most amazingly close relationships between any two animals in nature. The goby relies on the shrimp to dig the burrow in which they both live. Without it, the goby would not have a home. On the other hand, the shrimp is blind and relies on the goby to be the lookout for predators. Together they have an incredibly effective partnership. Alone they would be helpless. Great Barrier Reef.
