Paul Renner was first and foremost an artist. As a typographer Renner combined aspects of the traditional and modern styles. Renner disliked much about modern culture but admired its sense of functionality. During the era of Art Deco Renner designed the font Futura. The geometrically constructed font defines that of the Bauhaus Movement.
*The date in the design refers to the time in which the Futura family was created.
