The room was silent you had long gone.
But the smell of you lingered on.
The room it breath a quiet sigh when you shut the door.
A tear some would say as if a room could cry.
Your spirit filled the room with joy.
It gave a lifeless place new meaning.
Your voice filled its walls with music.
And as you sang it hummed along with you.
As heads swayed to your melody.
This room once a lonely place had a heart again.
And so it hummed a tune with you.
The lights turned low to reflect the mood.
As teardrops slowly fell.
And like the mood in this room it held them in its arms.
The room was just four cold walls till you came.
And as the evening carried on its walls began to breath.
To come alive with the life you gave to it.
As heads swayed from side to side the room came to life.
It breathed anew with voices in the air.
And as the evening came to an end.
As the lights began to fade.
As the doors finally closed.
And you had long gone home.
I heard a sigh one last time as I turned the lights off
I thought I heard one final tear.
And then I closed the door.

This is is particularly beautiful David…very lingering in thought.
Yes it has a soul the room we never think about that moment when the walls warm up and move with us as we glow in the room. And it becomes one with us a part of the event.
So came the poem made me think about the things that we forget.
Anyway glad you like it thank you Betty.
