“Blue”
Deep beneath this beating heart lives my troubled soul.
A soul so full of wonderment at where mankind has gone.
We’ve walked the moon and swam the deepest seas an still we search for more.
An then we walk out our front door and hate and kill each other.
What is it that we seem to lose as we travel to the moon.
A loss of love for one another as we share the same bed.
An lets not forget we hate our neighbors envy all they have.
Even though we go to church an pray to god that we will be a better man.
We fight, drop bombs, and kill the small for a little oil.
While the needy tremble in the cold cold streets dying without love.
What is it that we seem to lose as we fly up hi while computers guide our lives
I think a little of our soul and love for one another.
We seem to die and despise each other with each new leap we make to a distant star.
While deep beneath this beating heart is a dying soul
that looks for love in one another but seems to miss its call.
Where are the ones who love and need a friendly hug?
I guess afraid to look out their doors an die a little more.
I listen to my soul cry out deep inside of me.
Will I ever love….........
