"The beauty in you"

Time passes as we move closer to our graves.
But as I look at you my dear the clocks been good to you.
Your’re old I know.
Thats just the truth.
But still you challenge age my friend as I look at you.
What is it that you seem to know that allows you to stay young?
A settling moment in your mind that says life can be won.
It looks to me that you have won the battle that we fight
as the clock ticks on.
An as I look at your lovely face, I see that you have won a battle of the heart.
Mine my love.
For as I see before my eyes the twilight of my years.
You seem to me a ageless thing a creature that times forgot.
How can it be that you defy time as I grow old with each new tick of the clock.
And you a line or two in your face an my looks have gone away.
There before my eyes I see a man who I don’t know an you have never changed.
An here we are at deaths door and your still young to me.
Or can it be that my love for you has blinded me my dear.
An all I’ll ever see in you is your beauty even as you die.

    Shot this about 3 hours ago wrote the poem 40 minutes ago and had a god day inbetween customers so life is good.

    Hey Dinghy sitting in my gallery writing poetry and playing with the locals children that like to come in.
    Sweet the children love to play with me. Thats nice.
    I have fun with them but too loud!

    The flower is a little spent (goes with the poem) and it has the shape of a lively dark red heart. The poem is my personal favorite of all that I have read of yours up til now. Probably because I can relate to it. An artist can never know who or when they will briefly touch so accurately a moment in another person’s life. I like it very much.

    Your so kind my friend thanks a lot. The poem was a real treat to create as for the flower it was a gift from one of my customers grand ma she (Grand Ma) popped in with a flower from her garden for me 3 or 4 days ago. Quite a lovely gift her grand daughter came in for a cafe tonight and was so excited when she saw what I had done. I like that makes me smile.
    Just like U coming to visit me always looking for you my sweet talented friend. Hugs to you too!

    I love the words too this sat in my studio and I waited until I thought it was right and then bang it was mine. The poem was there as I watched it go from lovely to wonderful.
