"She road the wind"

David Roman

"She road the wind"

This is the magnolia tree in my neighbors yard I shot last week.
What a wonderful tree to see with its flowing branches and magical color and its hypnotic leaves.
I was drawn to this tree as I looked at it from my window for many day.
It reminded me of medusa.
So heres my poem and to all my friends that will ask me or wonder if this is true well this is just a poem an not a true story.LOL

“She Road the wind”

She road the wind as I heard her voice calling out to me.
Its been years since I last saw her but my love for her still haunts me.
I hear her voice as I sleep she’s in between my dreams.
Knocking on my heart again as she slowly screams my name.
I know your there my sweet.
I feel you every day.
But what you must realize… is your no longer feared.
I left you for another.
I gave you all I had.
An still my love you wanted more.
What more could I afford.
You took all that you wanted and then you closed the door.
I shudder at your voice as you search for me.
Your power is still strong, I know, it makes me cry at night.
But I have learned to close my mind when you call for me.
You cunning bitch you took my heart and then you turned your back.
An played with me like your toy as I cried tears of blood.
Your songs to me fly with the wind I hear you every day.
But no my sweet you will not win I see through your heart this time.
You cry you beg you tell me lies that your love for me is true.
An all of this you’ve said before these lies of trickery.
The wind it carries you so far I ran for many years.
I hid from you for fear you’d win but now I run no more.
An still you cry on winds so high and still I turn my back.
You bitch you’ll win no more.
What is it that you want from me, my soul… you stole before.
You watched as I crawled on my knees begging you for more.
There you were so proud of your victory!
And as you laughed I took a look and saw so many more.
There beside my lost soul cried a thousand more.
But did I run away right then as I should of done?
No… I begged you on for more as you called my name.
What wicked thing you are, you stole all that I had.
An here you are still calling me my soul is not enough.
But my sweet no more for you I’ve found a love more true.
A soul so loving that even you are small beside its power.
So cry my friend on winds so strong that carry you so far.
But all that you will get from me is more wind to push you on.

Flowing branches and magical color and its hypnotic leaves. You sure know now to make a magnolia blush with pride!
And the poem of the wicked one who wanted more gets only the strength that was found in the new found true love which allows the wind to grow stronger to push her away. True love will win every time … :)
