"Shake someone"
What the hell is going on people dying every minute!
I sit an try to understand what the hell is wrong!
When grown men continue fighting for too many years!
An no one seems to want to say enough of this madness!
So I sit and look an shake my head and ask my friends what do they think?
An we all seem to come up with the same answer… that this shit is sick!
I look at all the tiny ones that live where I do.
An then I really want to cry when I think of all the little one that have died, an will never know the world an learn to play baseball.
Or sit out in the front yard with a friend and eat ice cream as their little sister learns to ride a bike.
This really pisses me off that some men don’t care enough to say ok this is enough!
So this is my poem.
“Shake Someone”
I really want to run an say what the hells is wrong!
When people kill one another in the name of god.
When bombs are dropped on one another for so many years.
I want to shake someone and say what the hell is wrong?
Who is the person in control thats making these decisions.
I’d like to shake you until your head fell off and someone smarter took over!
Who is the one that said we need to fight and kill one another?
For what their silly ego.
Why can’t they simply say ok this is enough of this !
I’d like to find you an shake you until your head fell off an someone smarter took over!
Its time to make peace and stop all this killing!
Can I shake that into your stupid head?
This hate has gone on for so long its part of their creation.
Hate and more hate seems the way this can’t be all there is.
When will they say look at me I am fighting like my father.
An his dad did the same thing too.
And his dad did it too!
Look at us the human race full of hate an greed.
An in the end who suffers more than our little ones!
We teach them all our virtue’s that some mens lives don’t mean a thing.
An soon they learn to do the same and drop a couple bombs.
Is that the answer ask a child…
Even they know that its wrong.

I was just thinking along these lines tonight, watching the news about the Gaza Strip. Those poor, poor children, and their poor parents. It’s heartbreaking, an anger making. 30 lb bombs Verses 500 lb bombs.
500 meter area of coverage verses 10 meters of coverage!
Complete block destroyed verses a wall!
Tanks, Helicopters, F1 fighter jets,all the latest war weapons Verses Sling shots,no planes, no Helicopters, no tanks,out dated bombs and rockets and on foot!
Seems a little unfair to me.
Its so unfair I find it hard to keep my mouth closed!
An the more I listen the more I hate!

Strong words David and they speak volumes…I remember sitting with my grandfather as he watched the BBC News about the wars in the middle east..it hasn’t changed from then to now… it has been going on for 100’s of years..it has been going on my entire life. Stunning image David!!

Yep the gotta do their dirt before Obama comes in office they don’t really know what his view will be on this based on his attitude to conversation first! Bush gave them the green light I bet but isn’t telling us he’s done that! We will see many dead when the full story comes out! Its been said they are bombing anything that moves.
An no one is talking about the land they are stealing and the settlements they are setting up that have kept this stuff going on and on.
I wonder Why not? Why not talk about the issues and not the bombs its the issues that are the foundation for the bombs!

It’s a tough world, that’s for sure. These times make me glad that at least my children are in the southern hemisphere, but if someone decides to use the bomb to end all bombs, well, then there is nowhere to hide! I think they think because the Hamas was elected democratically that all the people who live there are Hamas. An they state that the Hamas is the enemy so you figure it out what they are really saying. To me this is just an excuse to wipe out a race of people who have a right to freedom and self rule without settlers taking over their land and moving them out! This is the reason for bombs an everyone knows it but no one is talking about it!
