What wonders come from deep inside when I hear that sweet sweet music!
I can hear it come from miles away as if its in my bedroom!
It’s magic to my ears and everyone knows it!
Its like the pied pipers come to town to lead the kids away!
But this Pied pipers just a truck all white and special made!
Its caring a cargo thats more valued than gold.
And in this neighborhood its driver always take’s steady control!
When he steps down from his chariot all dressed in white with his shining bright white cap!
All eyes light up and little hands all wave and our voices get real loud too!
Who was the best in school this week he ask each and everyone!
Did everyone do what there momma asked?
Don’t lie I have it all written down!
And as little heads bobbed up and down all nervous eyes looked on his face!
He held the magic key right there in his big strong fingers, and your pleasure was soon to end if he caught you in a lie!
One wrong answer to this knight was death all the older kids would say!
One false answer and to the back of the line for each and every one!
No crying,no stomping no shouts of protest this knight would only hear the right answers so you better be quick on your little feet or its to the end of the line for you!
I knew too well what my answer would be as he looked me in the eyes!
My Orange Dream would not be held back as I stood bold to this great Knight!
And as he stood there in his white knights suit all shinning on this day, he looked at me with his deep dark eyes and made my little hands get nervous!
And as he looked way down at me my fingers started to play!
I looked back up in his big strong face and listened to all he had to say!
“Oh did you do what you were suppose to do my little friend” he said to me?
Oh I had practiced this answer all week and knew just what to say!
And then I would close my little eyes and count to ten real fast and then look up in to his big strong face and tell the biggest lie!
“Oh yes I did Mr Smith, I did all that she said every day I washed the dishes swept the floor and took out all the garbage”, I said all this to my shining knight as my mama stood by my side!
Then She smiled at him with her tell all smile that Mr Smith knew very well,
and then with a quick and knowing hand to the end of the line I fell!
