My main interest in photography is wildlife, particularly birds. I’m especially motivated for capturing action such as birds in flight and other moments of wildlife action that happen too fast to appreciate in real time.

My first SLR was a Canon AE1 and I used the Canon FD system for many years, culminating with the T90 and several FD lenses. I’ve lived in Tucson since 1990 and developed an interest in wildlife photography about 10 years ago. In 2003 I switched to digital and haven’t looked back. Digital provides so much more capability for nature photography, particularly action photography. Of course the downside is managing all those image files!

Southeastern Arizona is an amazing area for birding and photography. I hope you enjoy my images.
