More fun with digital pinhole photography today.
It was pointed out to me that these might need a little explanation. I do not need new glasses nor have I damaged all of my lenses and have been forced to take blurry photographs, indeed these photos don’t have a lens at all.

Using a pinhole to make an image is older than photography itself. It starts with a camera obscura, when you darken all the windows in a room and then make a small hole allowing light to enter, you will see an inverted image of the outside on the wall opposite the hole.

A pinhole camera is simply a dark box of some sort with a small hole in one side. Many people would have made them out of wood and used them to expose B&W paper or film in a darkroom. In my case I am using the same camera I have used for most photos in this series but am putting a pinhole in place of the lens and recording the image with the sensor.
I have plans for more traditional ones soon but for now I am enjoying these and finding them exciting, They have a much different feel to them than my normal sharp photos.

Perhaps I just need to get these out of my system and return to my normal images but these images are just about fun.

This image is part of my personal photo per day project.
To see the rest of my images go to
Canon 5dmkII

The aim is to take 1 photo a day and publish it on

This would be a huge undertaking for most people, but even more so for me. For the last 2 years I have suffered from chronic fatigue (cfs, me, cfids, etc) and while I am far better than I have been, some days I know I won’t be able to get out of bed, many more I won’t leave the apartment

I hope this will assist in my recovery by forcing me out on days when I can manage it, and keeping me creative on days that I can
