As promised yesterday I went down to Manly this afternoon to photograph the boats washed up during yesterdays storm. This boat was in Manly Cove, I believe there were a few more around the headland at Little Manly.
I unwittingly got there just at high tide as the owner of one of the boats along with the water police attempted to retrieve it.
After braking the tow rope 3 times they finally got it out. I don’t know how much damage was done, but the keel was well and truly in the sand and they were pulling against it. I hope it all turns out ok.
Once all the action started I shot some video as well. I have a rough edit done but will try and finish editing that soon and post a link to that as well.
This image is part of my personal photo per day project.

The aim is to take 1 photo a day and publish it on 2012inphotos.com.au
This would be a huge undertaking for most people, but even more so for me. For the last 2 years I have suffered from chronic fatigue (cfs, me, cfids, etc) and while I am far better than I have been, some days I know I won’t be able to get out of bed, many more I won’t leave the apartment
I hope this will assist in my recovery by forcing me out on days when I can manage it, and keeping me creative on days that I can

Cheers, It was quite! but probably not as much as seeing them washed up on the beach. I am kicking myself I missed that!
