I went back to the Narrabeen Rock Pool this evening, the same place I shot on the 10th of January. I wanted to see what it was like at night lit by the new council LED lights.

What I wasn’t expecting is just how big the surf would be, I knew it was high tide so was expecting the pool to be pretty full, but the waves were washing clear through and over the pool. I was standing on the edge of the pool and waves were hitting my knees. Thats a lot of water! I had my tripod set quite low, but I had to hold on to it constantly to ensure it and my camera didn’t get washed away. It was really quite exciting!

In short, the ocean was a different beast today than last time I was here, from still perfection to large waves. It Is still quite beautiful I think.

The aim is to take 1 photo a day and publish it on 2012inphotos.com.au

I hope this will assist in my recovery by forcing me out on days when I can manage it, and keeping me creative on days that I can
