No, it’s not a mono image – look carefully and you’ll see the trace of gold on this beautiful roof section at the Crown complex at Melbourne’s Southbank.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F9.5, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 45mm.

    Interesting shot, nice shapes.
I think it will look better in you straighten it though, than it looks lots more in balance.

  • Thanks, Karen. I’m always very receptive to advice.

Just saw your text that you don’t crop. I really think it would do much more justice to the picture.

  • Will certainly bear that in mind, Karen. Thank you so much for dropping by.

The more you study this, the more you see. Some of the shapes are actually shadows.
    Cheers Neil

  • You’re completely right, Neil – it was a very warm summer day, so the shadows gave me a lot of perspective.

WOW….cool image here David. I’ve been here many a time and never seen this. Mental note to self to ‘look up’ LOL

  • I shot this a couple of weekends ago, Di. It’s a great roof section – make sure you shoot it on a bright day!

Fantastic visual, my eye wanders all over, so much to see, the detail and clarity are wonderful!

  • Great to hear from you, Linda – you probably shot some frames in this very spot when you were in Melbourne.
