The Bottle Of The Bulge by

This unusual wall is part of The Chocolate Mill in Daylesford. It forms three sides of a rectangle and creates amazing light tones, as you can see from the lilac highlights on the blue bottles.

In a piece of creative thinking, the bottles are completely recessed in the wall, so the natural light gives the different hues of the many bottles an almost neon-like effect. And as the intensity of the light changes during the day (as the sun passes from east to west) the light quality alters constantly.

You can view a different shot of the wall here.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 1/30 sec, ISO 800, focal length 88mm.

Pity the necks weren’t on the outside. You’d get a tone from them if the wind was from the right direction.
