The contrast here really caught my eye – the white mask of the Phantom of the Opera, resting on the black velvet cape of the famous stage character. 1,035 views on 12 April 2014
I shot this in bright sunlight and as you can see from the tonal variations across the mask, the light really made a difference. Not only did it cast beautiful shadows across the mask, it also highlighted the glistening texture of the cape’s fabric.
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/500 sec, ISO 200, focal length 125mm.
