It’s hard to believe the famous Rubik’s Cube has been around for more than 30 years!
I bought my very first Rubik’s Cube in central London in 1981. A couple of weeks later, an acquaintance borrowed it to try and impress others with his intellectual and manual dexterity.
There was only one problem when he finally returned the Rubik’s Cube. At first glance, it looked as if he had solved the Cube, with all the colours apparently (and I say ``apparently’’ with good reason) in the correct place.
But it took me a couple of seconds to figure out he had peeled off all the stickers and put them in a manner that suggested he had actually solved the cube.
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 1/30 sec, ISO 800, focal length 125mm.

Awesome shot, lovely colors.
Thank you, Tracy – I actually shot this indoors about a fortnight ago. It worked better in soft light!
