It’s not a musuem. It’s not a royal palace. It’s not a film set. This is the magnificent dome of the office building at 333 Collins Street, Melbourne, that was built in the late 19th century for what was then the Commercial Bank of Australia.
This image is part of a series that I shot in August 2009 that included this unusual shot.
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 1/20 sec, ISO 800, focal length 18mm.
Thank you, Dave, the interesting thing is to see how this magnificent dome is now incorporated into a modern skyscraper. There are magnificent models in the lobby and the concierge, who gave me a lot of his time that afternoon, was really interesting to talk to.
